Advanced FLOW Engineering (aFe Power) designs and manufactures performance air, exhaust and power-management systems for trucks, SUVs and sport compacts, with a particular strength in diesel truck performance. Founded in 1999 and still headquartered in Corona, California, aFe builds in-house across two facilities totalling 164,000 square feet — filters, intakes, exhaust, headers, intercoolers and torque converters are made on site, with CNC machining, mandrel tube bending and dyno testing under the same roof. The catalogue spans cold air intakes, direct-fit and racing air filters, cat-back and axle-back exhaust, intercoolers, turbochargers, electronic programmers, diesel fuel systems and throttle body spacers, across more than 2,500 applications. Recognisable product families include Pro 5R, Pro Dry S and Pro Guard 7 filter media, Takeda for sport compact intakes and exhaust, BladeRunner intercoolers and manifolds, Scorcher programmers, Aries powersports filtration, and aFe Control for suspension and chassis.

This filter features Pro 5R oiled 5-layer progressively finer mesh cotton gauze media for maximum performance. The progressive layering of media allows the filter to flow at high levels even when dirty. aFe performance air filters use a rounded, evenly spaced pleat design which produces more usable filter surface area for increased flow and greater dust holding capacity To allow multiple cleaning cycles, the filter framework is made of 100% pliable polyurethane that does not deteriorate with time or exposure to heat and chemicals.
