This listing is for ICON Extreme Duty Tie Rod Kit Fits 05-23 Toyota Tacoma

Part Number 55157

ICON Vehicle Dynamics is a premiere performance suspension manufacturer specializing in aftermarket suspension components for trucks, SUV’s and off road suspension development. The company’s business is customer-driven, technology-influenced, engineering-oriented and focuses on world-class manufacturing processes and techniques. Led by head engineer and SCORE champion driver Dylan Evans, ICON Vehicle Dynamics has the unique qualities to design and build the highest quality suspension components and test them in both real world applications as well as race conditions.

The strength limitations of the 2005-2023 Toyota Tacoma's factory steering tie rods have been well documented over the years, especially by Tacoma owners who venture into the big rocks with big tires. These ICON XD Forged Tie Rods remedy this with better materials and beefier dimensions than the stock units. The inner tie rod and ball stud is CNC machined from 4140 chromoly with metal-on-metal bearing surfaces for durability that far exceeds the plastic inner races of the factory components. The adjustment threads are 12% larger in diameter compared than stock Tacoma tie rods for a further increase in strength. The outer tie rod is forged steel and has the same profile as the stock tie rods for fitting all of the Tacoma's factory wheel diameters and offsets, along with just about any aftermarket wheel. The tie rod end is a beefier, metal-on-metal joint that is greaseable for extended service life and has the same range of operating angle as the stock tie rod ends. For the most hardcore of off-roaders, the ICON XD Forged Tie Rod kit is recommended as part of a comprehensive steering system upgrade strategy.
